Biography
Dr. Pro is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly MCP Hahnemann University School of Medicine). He completed his medical Internship at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ and did his Ophthalmology Residency at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary, where he also completed his Glaucoma Fellowship.
Dr. Pro is board certified in ophthalmology and licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. He is on staff at Wills Eye Institute at Thomas Jefferson University where he is involved in resident and fellow teaching. He is also on staff at Virtua Hospital and Lankenau Hospital. Dr. Pro is a member of numerous medical and glaucoma associations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, the Greater Philadelphia Glaucoma Society, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
His expertise includes all types of glaucoma treatment and surgeries, including state of the art "bleb-less" surgeries such as canaloplasty. His research interests include novel glaucoma surgical techniques and devices. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and co-authored a book chapter on glaucoma genetics.
